Andreas Hauschild

I started playing the guitar at the age of 8 (2001) but it wasn’t until I was 13 and heard the guitar solos of Children of Bodom’s Alexi Laiho that I started becoming more interested in playing the instrument. By the time I was 14 I was becoming more and more obsessed with the instrument, playing for as long as I could possibly cram into the day. At that time my biggest influence and inspiration was Steve Vai. When I was 15 I discovered Dream Theater and gradually I got more interested in super speed, insane technique, odd meters, enjoying more progressive music. Today I’m inspired by such bands and musicians as Dream Theater, Symphony X, The Faceless, Meshuggah, Animals as leaders, Spiral Architect Cynic, Planet X, Transatlantic, Rusty Cooley, Shawn Lane, Guthrie Govan, Allan Holdsworth, Ron Jarzombek and many, many more.

I’m currently working with some different guys and hope to come up with some music soon.
