Hi Oliver
Yes I did some stuff with the Japanese scale, that I will post soon. I did some new material today that I will post really soon. Notice I fixed the tab for sweeppicking level 3
I also did some video with impro with some neoclassical licks, that I will post one of these days
Ok, thank you for your help. Yes, I know that is very time consuming to do that. Also let me know if you can make some licks with exotic scales/hybrid scales in the future.
And another idea : Could you make some backing tracks with different chords progressions in order to apply the stuff ?
Hi Oliver
Ok great. Its all about seing the licks in visual way, for example, if I have a A minor arpeggio, which I want to play in F major scale, then I see the third scale position from the high E string, and start the arpeggio from there. I will post some video where I do this, but please be patient, as it is very time consuming
In free class I used this concept. Thats what I will do on the other licks at some stage
All the best
Niels
BTW. Sweeppicking level 3 is updated with tab and text
Hi Niels,
Yes, I have check the theoritical explanation with each lick and this is very useful.
I know the 7 positions of the major scale, harmonic minor and melodic minor using 3 notes per string. At this time, I learn to play them in all tonality also with metronom.
However, I have some difficulties to use them during improvisation and also how to link to lick during my playing.
I think it could be possibly interesting that you make some composition using the licks into a musical context and put also the tabs.
Hi Olivier
Sure, this evening I will fix the Neoclassical sweeps, and remember to check the Theoretical explanation on each of the licks.
Also its really important that you read the theoretical explanantion on all licks you want to learn. Because I explain how you can take the lick and start it from the scale positions.
So do you know the seven positions of the Major scale and Harmonic minor scale ?
If you like I can make a video accompanying the modes of the Major scale in Masterclass
Hi Niels,
Could you put the stuff that can be used for each mode regarding a symphonic metal/neoclassical style?
To get the idea, I give you here an example for the first mode of the major scale in a jazz fusion style :
Vocabulary used for Major 7 Ionian (9,11,13) :
-Pentatonic up a major third from chord
-Minor 7 arpeggio up a major third from chord
-Major Triad up a fifth from chord
-sixth intervals

I was thinking of putting up some charts that show where you can start the licks from, instead of writing a complete solo out, it works great, and I did it in my Book Advanced Tapping: http://www.amazon.com/Advanced-Tapping-1-Niels-Vejlyt/dp/8799308401/ref=...
The jamtrax is something I might be doing at some stage, I did it for Shred Academy: http://shredacademy.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=37&products_id=66...
