picking

BTW I have been playing for many years (since I was 8 but with long
inactivity periods and now I am 41!...), but I never focus on
technique and I have understood (better late then never..) that if you really want to express yourself it is necessary not less then theory and fingerboard knowledge. I am quite familiar with AP, but not with EP, sweeping, tapping and legato so I wanted to have your advice about that techniques how to approache them in the best way and in general technique what practice routines to use..... I am already doing the picking exercises at my speed... (120, 130..bpm)
