Melodic Progressive Metal
Bio:

I started playing guitar at the age of 14 (2004) after watching the old expo 1992 guitar legends video tape, (Joe Satriani's Performance) I got the guitar for my birthday (Stagg Stratocaster Copy), but never really started focusing on my playing until i was 15 when i received a new guitar and amp(Epiphone Les Paul Standard II, Marshall MG50). Since then i have played every day, practicing for as many hours as i can fit in.
In the early days of playing guitar i was a huge thrash fan, i loved Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Slayer... etc. fancinated by the fancy lead work i began transposing Metallica and Megadeth solos onto my guitar.
A few years later i had developed a few lead licks, and was looking for something new, i turned into progressive music, the likes of Dream Theater, SymphonyX, Nevermore, Meshuggah, Pagans Mind, Circus Maximus... etc. I fell inlove with the melodies, the odd time signatures, the Great Musicianship coming out of these bands.
I also have a big interest in Jazz Fusion and many forms of Jazz, i was influenced by guitarists such as Guthrie Govan, Shawn Lane, Frank Gambale, Greg Howe, Allan Holdsworth. As of recent days i have been listening to alot of the heavier darker more modern side of metal. I can hear it reflecting in my songwriting.
In Mid 2008 i was asked to play guitar on Bobby Williamsons (ex Outworld, Thought Chamber) Solo album, it was a great day, as i was and am still a huge fan of Outworld. This project further progressed into a Melodic Progressive Metal Band called 'Eumeria'. (www.eumeria.com) We are currently in the progress of releasing our debut album 'The Rebel Mind'
